So, come for a full-day seminar that explains in detail how to set up and begin your own training business - teaching what you love to do! It's easier than you think - with some hazards (that we'll point out) along the way!

In this full-day seminar, we will discuss:

1. What are the hottest topics ripe for training in the current market?

2. How do you know you know your subject well enough?

3. How do you develop the appropriate materials? What do students enjoy?

4. Classroom management - how do you make students comfortable? What do they need from an environment? (This will probably surprise you!)

5.How do you get the word out when you're ready to start? How  do you start?

6. What is your teaching style? How can you improve it? What makes a great teacher than makes your students WANT to refer you?

(During this segment, students will be encouraged (but not required)  to present a 15-minute "sampler" of an intended teaching subject.)

7. Registration options - accepting credit cards, purchase orders and checks. Building class records for future classes.

8. Managing the First Day of Class - making a great first impression.

9. Managing difficult and challenging students.

Chana Schulman is a successful entrepreneur, trainer and software architect who has taught and mentored development teams around the world on some of the largest software projects in the world Her background includes over 10 years of technology training and mentoring, including acting as Lead Architect for KLM/Air France, EDS, Cap Gemini, and Accenture. Since returning to the United States, she has focused on introducing open source software into businesses throughout the Austin area through community workshops, and formal classes.
